"From Line" from Lee Ufan

From Line

In the From Line works, each stroke starts full of pigmeng at the end of the canvas and dissolves into near nothingness at the bottom. From my view, evey single line seems like every single life. In the beginning of every life, it fills full of hope; therefore, it starts full of pigments. However, during the life, the vitality would become weaken and wenken, so, it nears nothingness at the end of line. This painting is one of the Lee's series works of From Line, and also, he created another series works called From Point and From Wind.

A piece of art work from MoMA PS1

Unidentified Woman

This black-and-white  painting is made by Sarah Charlsworth, American, b. 1947. In this painting, Charlsworth imagined a woman falling down from the World Trade Center. In my opinion, using only black and white, it means nothing can do when people face to the death. Furthermore, painting a woman, it seems more hopeless than a man. A sense of fightened came out, when the first time I saw this printing. After viewing all of those works, it still gave me a strong effect on my mind.

One of the art works from “Witness – A Look Back To The Future”

The artist of this painting is called  John Paul. For my view, this painting reflects the fear about those people who faced dead at the moment, that is why I pay attention on it. From this painting, it would arouse me the history about "9/11", I can not forget that these news which about that event. I can believe the fear from these faces.
